Japan is one of the world’s largest economies. It is one of the most modern of countries out there, too. It does have a long and rich history that has not always been good, but it does have numerous reasons to visit. For business or pleasure, Japan is the place to go.

What You Will Find

If this is your first visit to Japan, know what to look for and to expect. You will find a wide assortment of things to do and see. The following are some recommendations to get you started.

Visit the castles of Japan. There are numerous, but some of the originals worth visiting include Uwajima Castle, Matsue Castle, Matsuyama Castle and Kochi Castle. You can tour them.

One of the things Japan is known for is its gardens. You can visit many of them. Visit the gardens in Mito at Kairakuen. It is another good option to visit Kenrokuen in Kanazawa.

For those who are interested in learning the religious background of the country, no place is better than at the temples. You will find temples, including Buddhist and Shinto temples, to tour.

For those looking for a way to enjoy this country, realize there are many modern things to do and see, too. Spend some time enjoying the wonder that this country has to offer. You will find shopping, arts, museums and plenty of fun sites for the kids to enjoy, too. You may be impressed with just how much there is to do in a country that is quite small.

A treatment system designed to remove radioactive materials from the large amount of water from the Fukushima Number 1 plant was stopped on Saturday. The new system absorbed its limit and had to be replaced much sooner than anticipated according to the Tokyo Electric Power Co, also known as TEPCO.

TEPCO is working to find ways to solve the problems with this new system which would help contain the nuclear crisis still unfolding there. TEPCO hoped that with the new system they could recycle the water to cool the reactors that were damaged during the March earthquake and ensuing tsunami.

Image via Wikipedia

Denying a negative impact on the environment, TEPCO opened the doors on the reactor number 2 to lower humidity inside. This will allow workers to enter the reactor, once the humidity reaches 70 percent, with a facemask. At that point workers can begin injecting nitrogen into the reactor to prevent a hydrogen blast according to the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency.

Meanwhile, about 1400 TEPCO employees still await the results of their radiation checkups. This is important because internal radiation increases the chances of cancer and leukemia. These workers risk their lives every day to enter the reactors. A spokesman for the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said the reason for the delay in checkups are that the utility company does not have enough whole body dosimeters for the remaining 1400 workers. These meters are used to measure the radiation in the human body. Around 3,700 people worked at the Fukushima Number 1 plant from the time the earthquake hit to around the end of the month.

The title of “little town” is relative, especially in Iceland, where Akureyri, which serves as the northern capital of the country, is the second largest city in Iceland, with 17,000 residents. It’s also one of the most enchanting places on earth. Nestled (there is no other word for it) at the base of a fjord on the mountainous north coast, Akureyri is home to some fantastic skiing runs and other snow sports, for a very good reason: Icelandic weather.

Akureyri is only 240 miles from the nation’s capital, Reykjavik. However, in Iceland, distance is measured by weather, not kilometres. 240 miles can turn into an 8-hour drive when taken in November. If there is anything in this world that is unpredictable, it is what the weather is going to do in Iceland. In June, the sun is out 177 hours in the month, in November, there are 12 hours of sunlight in the month. December is pitch black. Snow storms can whirl up out of nowhere and dump 36 inches of snow in one night. It is a cold, beautiful land, and the weather can make it dangerous or enjoyable. Locals check the weather religiously.

Summer months in Akureyri allow for horseback riding, a national pastime, since much of the country is still rural, and summer drives to view the scenis countryside. Be careful driving in winter though; foreigners will be unfamiliar with what Icelandic winter does to roads, and, given that a majority of the roads in the country are unpaved in parts, city cars will have some spotty runs.

Going on a skiing vacation? Whether at Christmas time or in the middle of winter, schussing down the slopes in Alpine Glens is an exhilarating adventure. Before you hit the slopes, you’ll have to do lots of planning to make sure everyone has a good time.

When planning your skiing get-away, there are several things to do to make sure you have the best vacation possible. The first thing to do is to set a budget. When you know your budget, you will be able to determine if you will Ski France or go to a small ski resort in Vermont.

When planning your vacation, determine how much you can spend for the following expenses: ski passes, lodging, meals, airfare, rental of ski equipment (if you don’t have your own), and a car rental that is equipped for driving on snowy roads. Sometimes travel agencies have ski package deals that include all of these things in addition to a free shuttle to and from the airport. Be sure to check what travel agencies have available before you make any reservations on your own.

If you are traveling with children, pack snacks and drinks. Take age appropriate activities to keep them occupied. If you are driving, portable DVD players and movies are especially popular for keeping children happy. Be sure to stop often to get out and stretch.

When packing for your ski trip, be sure to pack proper ski clothing. Every family member will need a ski hat, coat, gloves, ski bibs or snow pants, and insulated stockings. You should also make sure you have plenty of sunscreen and everybody has sunglasses or ski goggles.

Weather plays a big influence on our activities. This is especially true if a vacation is planned. Unfortunately, it is the one thing many people forget to look at when planning their vacation.

The weather conditions can dictate what to pack, what outfits to wear, and whether or not to reschedule outdoor activities. It can also make the difference on deciding to go or changing the dates on airline tickets for a more suitable time.

Bad weather can easily interfere with any pending vacation plans. A bout of storms can delay or cancel flights, make it impossible to drive, or completely shut down any type of activities. In short, a change in weather can completely destroy a vacation.

Technology has made checking the weather in different areas easy. For phones, you can download a weather application. After that, you simply type in the area code or find the city and add it to the weather application. Once done, you can check the weather report at any time. For computers, a simple search can give you all the details. If there is any doubt about travel plans due to weather, you should contact the airport for flight cancellations.

Checking the weather report before you go on vacation is a step that should not be forgotten in the hustle of vacation planning. It is one step you need to add to your list of things to do before you go on vacation. Bad weather can turn a fun vacation into a disaster.

With the cost of traveling increasing, many families are foregoing the annual family vacation and missing out on a chance to create memories, relax and have fun, all in an effort to save money. Luckily, for families that don’t want to miss out on a family vacation, there is the option of taking part in a family cruise.

Family cruises are economical vacation alternatives because the cost of the cruise usually includes planned activities, food, amenities and most travel expenses. All families have to pay for is the cost of traveling to port and the cruise itself.

If a family cruise sounds like a great vacation choice here are some popular ways that families are booking their cruises.

Travel Agent/Cruise Expert

Travel agencies, both local and national, can help families book their cruise. Many travel agencies even have a cruise expert who specializes in helping families book the right cruise for their needs. Families that are new to the cruise scene should sit down with a travel agent or cruise expert to ensure they are booking the right cruise for their family.

Online Travel Sites/Individual Cruise Websites

Families can use online travel sites or the cruise company’s website to book a cruise. Families are able to view all available cruise listings, amenities and activities, and choose which cruise package is best for them. This option is great for families that have experience with booking cruises and know exactly what they want in their vacation.

By booking a cruise, families are able to create memories, have fun and relax without having to worry about spending too much money on their family vacation.

In the last fifteen years, Japanese anime and manga have grown massively in popularity outside of Japan. In Japan, it’s a staple of life, it seems. It’s such a part of Japanese culture that there are museums dedicated to both anime and manga. The most popular museum is the Ghibli Museum Mitaka, which is mostly devoted to the work from the studio’s that created such larger works as “Spirited Away.”

If you’re not one for large crowds inside museum or if you’ll betaking children with you to Tokyo, there are a number of smaller anime and manga museums and exhibits. There are also numerous manga and anime shops throughout Tokyo. Your first stop should be at the Tokyo Anime Center. There you can find information all of the shops, museums, and exhibits throughout the city. The center also showcases its own exhibits of the well-known artwork. A brief list of Tokyo shops and museums is below.

The Suginami Animation Museum: This museum showcases much of the work by the anime houses in Suginami Ward. Admission is free and you have a wide variety of items to choose from, including a movie theatre and a workshop area.

The Toei Animation Gallery: One of the largest and most popular film companies in Japan, the gallery has been producing animation since before the second World War. Inside, you can learn about the entire filmmaking process from the script writing to the finished product.

The Akatsuka Kaikan: Showcasing the work of Fujio Akatsuka, this gallery displays some of the best-loved older, slap-stick-type anime work. Akatsuka was known for his comedic look at Japan’s Shows Era.

Many people, in the hustle and bustle of trying to see as much as possible, forget about these places that showcase such a large part of Japanese culture. Make some time and visit one or two.

Because of the size, it’s difficult to see everything of interest within one or two days, so it’s best to plan out a list of activities before leaving home.

If you’re one who appreciates beautiful scenery and skylines, then make sure you stop at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Tourists and visitors are allowed up to the 45th floor. There you’ll find the best view of the Tokyo skyline. If you’re looking for a great photo opportunity, this may be one of the best you’ll find in the city. At night, the city looks even more amazing. If you’re staying at a luxury hotel in the city, you will certainly have a nice view of these as well.

The Imperial Palace and Palace East Garden are popular among tourists as well. The royal family lives in the palace, so it remains closed to the public, but you’re free to wander through the gardens on one of the many walkways. If you’re looking for any type of entertainment, the Shinjuku district is where you’ll want to head. The most impressive part of this district is all of the neon signage at night.

Spending time in Japan is all about the experiences, so if you’re looking for one that’s a bit different, check out what’s known as the “Shibuya Crossing.” There is a four-way intersection here, and whenever the stoplights change, hundreds of people make their ways from one side of street to the other. The crowd is unlike anything you’ve probably ever seen before.

The Akihabara district is a must-see area of town, especially if you’re one with a gadget obsession. Known as “electric city,” this area of Tokyo guarantees sales of almost anything electric, as well as video games, manga, and anime items.

There are plenty of other sites around Tokyo. The best advice is to find a guidebook and make a list of the places and attractions you want to see. Make the most out of your visit to Tokyo.

When planning your vacation to Japan, you’d be morally remiss to not include spending a day or two in Tokyo in your schedule. Tokyo is one of the word’s largest cities and is the largest city and capital of Japan. Because of the sheer size of the city, it would take years to really experience everything Tokyo has to offer. As a result, it may be difficult to decide on what you want to see and where you’d like to visit while in the city. Take a look at the following list for some great ideas.

For a stunning view of the city that’s worthy of an entire roll of film in itself, stop by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and take an elevator to the 45th floor. If you’re feeling puckish, stop at the café on the same floor.

If you’re into fashion, take a trip to the Harajuko region of Tokyo to get a view of some of the newest, hottest, and most bizarre fashions and style obsessions. Sundays prove to be the most interesting day because that is when the teenagers, who are the most fashion-conscious of the Japanese, are out in full force.

Because fish is the basis of so much of Japanese cuisine, stopping at the Tokyo Fish Market is a must. If you get there early, around 7:30 a.m., you can watch the boats dock and bring in their catch. Along the same vein, if you’re feeling adventurous, give sushi a try. The wide array of sushi dishes are a large part of Japanese cusisine and all are served fresh throughout the day at many restaurants.

As with any type of trip or vacation abroad, it’s always a good idea to learn as much about your destination country as possible before getting there. If you’re planning a trip to Japan, the most important thing you can do is learn about Japanese customs and etiquette. Some of the things you do at home may not be acceptable overseas. Just as doing one thing can be offensive, neglecting to do another thing can also be offensive. As such, it’s important to take the time to understand Japanese customs.

In Japan, removing your shoes when entering a house, restaurant, and in some cases, businesses is required. In many cases, you should take a suitable gift for your hosts, regardless of who they may be. When you sit down to eat, always use chopsticks—this is a custom as well. Learn to use them before leaving for Japan. When sitting down for a meal, keep the eating end of your sticks away from any food not yours. If helping yourself to more food, use the opposite ends of the chopsticks. The Japanese never pour their own drinks. Be sure to let someone else do this for you.

It is always a good idea to learn the language before going to Japan. While it may be nearly impossible for you to learn the entire language before your trip, you can, at the very least, learn enough to get around. Some of the phrases that you should know before heading overseas are simple, such as hello and goodbye. You should also learn greetings, formal and informal, as the Japanese are very polite and will expect you to be the same.

When you travel to a far off place, you have a few different options when it comes to making phone calls. On the one hand, you can always just avoid making any calls whatsoever. If you have ever checked out the prices that a lot of different foreign carriers charge, you might start to wonder if your entire vacation could be doubled in either length or luxury if you simply did not bother with the entire “making phone calls” thing. But on the other hand, you can also go with certain other types of plans, such as calling cards or prepaid cell phones, which can reduce the burden to a great extent.

One of the great things about prepaid cell phones and some calling cards is that they have a great deal of potential for customization. You can get a plan which is tailored to how you are actually going to use the phone, as opposed to just taking on one of a small number of different generic plans. You have the option of simply paying as you go, so you can control the amount of money that you put into this, opposed to simply pouring more and more money into a plan that you may not even use when you are not on a trip.

There is also another great thing about have a prepaid cell phone. If you have ever been on a trip, you know the unfamiliar territory and tendency to move around a lot combine to make for a very difficult time always keeping track of your cell phone. When you have a prepaid phone, you don’t run the risk of losing your personal cell phone (and going through all of that hassle), and you also do not have to worry about losing a massive amount of money through basically having someone else (whom you probably don’t even know) having and using the phone that you lost.

If you’re looking for a little something different in your next vacation abroad, why not give Japan a try? Few cultures around the world will offer you such numerous and vast degrees of “different.” Planning your trip can be stressful and a bit confusing, but there are a few simple tips to follow to make things a bit easier.

First of all, set a firm length for your trip. This way, you’ll be sure to have enough of everything—clothing, hygiene products, etc—for the entire trip. Second, check the exchange rate between the American dollar and Japanese Yen. After doing these two things, you should be ready to pack. Packing for a trip abroad can be stressful as well, since it can difficult to know what to pack.

When packing for your trip, the choice is yours as to what you should take with you. However, there are five things that you should always take with you. They are:

Enough hygiene products for the duration of your trip. The Japanese pride themselves on cleanliness, and they expect the same practice sfrom those visiting their country. While you shouldn’t have a problem finding hygiene products in stores throughout Japan, they might not have what you use at home. If that may be a problem for you, be sure you pack enough of your own.

Enough cash for the duration of your trip. This is where the research into the conversion rates come in. While theft can be an issue in any foreign country, just as it is at home, it shouldn’t be a common occurrence in Japan. Just in case, keep money in separate places on your person.

A variety of clothing. While checking the weather should solve this for the most part, pack a little extra, just in case the weather reports are wrong or you an accident.

A phrasebook and a book on culture. These will help acclimate you to Japan, in both language and culture. You’ll find them invaluable when in a situation with a language barrier or when you’re not sure about a specific custom.

There’s no shortage of festivals throughout the year in Japan. One of the most popular is the Tanabata Festival, which is also referred to as the star festival. It takes place on either the night of July seventh or the night of August seventh each year, depending on the region of Japan. The Japanese refer to Tanabata as the star festival because it commemorates the popular folktale of the Princess and the Cowherder that has been around for over 2,000 years.

When the post-Meiji period came to Japan, the festival fell quiet and nearly disappeared completely. It gained back popularity after the second World War, and has been something of a national treasure ever since it’s re-emergence. At the present-day Tanabata festivals, wishes are written on small scraps of paper and then hung on bamboo sticks. They are either placed in a river or burned when the festivities are over, usually the following day.

While the Tanabata festival is full to the brim with tradition, the atmosphere surrounding it is much like that surrounding a gala or carnival. Colorful decorations of red, blue, and yellow can be seen almost everywhere, there is nearly every kind of Japanese cuisine imaginable, and occasionally a parade or two will take place. These festivals are popular and dear to the people of Japan, but many tourists try to arrange their trips to cover the festivals as well.

Tanabata festivals are held in nearly every city, but some of the best-known ones take place in Miyagi Prefecture and Hiratsuka-city.

If you are interested in a truly memorable honeymoon, you should consider visiting a location that not everyone goes to for this experience, such as Japan. This country is not often mentioned when it comes to honeymoon destinations, despite its rich culture and wealth of things to do while visiting.

Whether you want to stay at a 5-star hotel in a big city or a quaint bed and breakfast in a rural area, Japan has you covered. Check out Tokyo if you love big cities, or Okinawa if you plan to get out of the hotel and make memories while snorkeling or walking on the beach. Of course, there are also tons of resorts available that boast features like hot springs and massages. You can usually get all the same pampering done in Japan as you can in more traditional honeymoon settings, but with a unique twist. This is because the Asian culture is prevalent in nearly every activity in this romantic destination, allowing you to learn about Japan’s history while enjoying your time with your new spouse.

Just because your honeymoon is not traditional does not mean that you cannot partake in other longstanding vacation traditions. For example, consider sending postcards from your destination so that your friends and family know you made it to your vacation spot and are having a great time. Postcards are often considered more personal and much more exciting to receive than simple text messages and e-mails, so pick up a bunch, each with a different photo of the sights in Japan. Scrawling a personal message on each card will truly make your loved ones feel special.

You may just want to relax and forget the world during your honeymoon in Japan, but your family will want to hear from you while you are gone. Writing a couple of messages is fast and can even be done from the spa, completing your unique getaway.

To get from city to city and island to island in Japan, most people use the available railway systems. The largest and most popular is the Japan Railway, which runs different routes throughout the entire country. A great way to save money when using the train system is to use the Japan Railway pass, known as the JR Pass, that is available to tourists. This pass allows for unlimited travel on the system from seven to twenty-one days.

The rules for who can obtain a railway pass and how to go about doing so are extremely strict and must be followed to a tee. Typically, there are two things that qualify you as eligible for the Japanese Railway pass> You qualify if you’re a tourist possessing a passport with a “temporary visitor” stamp, or if you’re a native of Japan who is currently living in another country. In either case, you must fill out the proper paperwork and request forms for a pass before leaving for Japan.

The pass is only available outside of Japan. Once you complete the necessary forms, you’ll receive an Exchange Order. When you get to Japan, you’ll exchange this for a real railway pass. There are numerous places where you can take care of this exchange, all of which are either airports or train stations. It is recommended that the exchange be done at the airport as soon as you arrive.

The railway passes can be purchased for seating in either the Ordinary Cars (equal to second class) or the Green Cars, which are equal to a first class seat. The passes may seem expensive at first, but in the end, since they allow unlimited train travel, you’ll be saving a lot more money.

With the slanting economy, lay-offs, and fairly dismal job market, it seems that just about everybody is looking for ways to save some money in any way possible. Just because you’re trying to save money doesn’t mean that you need to cut vacations like so many people think. If you’re on the fence about whether or not you should go to Japan, the answer is “yes.”

A vacation to Japan, especially if you’ll be taking the whole family, can be quite expensive. Contrary to the beliefs of many, though, it is possible to have a great time and spend as little as possible while in the country.

The biggest and most popular mode of transportation in Japan is train. As such, you’ll likely be taking it just about everywhere, so the first thing you should do is look into getting your hands on some of the budget tickets for the trains. There are two kinds of these tickets ad either of them will help you save hundreds of dollars.

Japan Railways (JR) Pass: This pass will get you onto any of the trains in the Japan Railways system, most of which go all over the country. You’ll need to complete a request for this before leaving for Japan, though.

Seishun 18 Kippu: This type of ticket is offered in spring, summer, and winter and is meant more for those looking to experience smaller towns in Japan. They are transferable and come in books of five tickets.

Sleeping accommodations are plentiful in Japan, as they have some of the ritziest hotels in the world. If you’re looking to save money, you have three great options:

The Ryokan: Offering comfortable futons, sliding doors, and decorative walls, this is the traditional inn all over Japan. If you want to experience tru tradition, stay here.

The Hostel: More than a cheap room and bed, these offer the opportunity to meet other travelers and learn more about the country and upcoming events.

The Business Hotel: Cheap but luxurious, these offer large beds, clean showers, and a refrigerator in each room.

If you’re a nature lover, there’s no shortage of beautiful scenery throughout each island of Japan, most of which makes for some great photography. If you’re not entirely sold on just photos of the sukura trees, cherry blossoms, and the hundreds of Buddhist temples, then why not head out to a national park or two?

Japan has 28 national parks in all, which are a very important part of the vast ecosystem throughout the country. The parks are instrumental in protecting other parts of this system, such as the wildlife, wetlands, and the seashores on each island. The parks all offer hiking trails and stunning scenery.

If you’re wondering in which season to visit the national parks, there is no right or wrong answer. Why? Because the parks offer something unique in each of the seasons! For a breakdown of what each season brings to Japan’s national parks, take a look at the following list.

Spring: In Japan, springtime marks the blooming of the sakura trees and cherry blossoms. The blossoms are iconic of the country and are a big attraction for tourists and the Japanese themselves. You can find the trees just about anywhere, so if you’ll be in Japan in the spring, be sure to bring a camera!

Winter: Japan has many species of migratory birds. In the wintertime, the numerous national parks are a temporary home for them. If you’re lucky, you might catch a good view or two.

Summer: Warmer weather brings about the mass blooming of wildflowers. The weather also allows for mountain and trail hiking, providing plenty of photo opportunities, especially of the multiple kinds of foliage and flowers.

Autumn: This is one of the best times to visit Japan, second only to springtime. Head to locations like Towada Lake and Oku-nikko for some bright and beautiful autumn foliage colors.

Being able to travel abroad is an exciting and adventurous opportunity that many people only get to enjoy once in a lifetime. Countries like Italy or Japan are richly seasoned with historical monuments and memorable places and things to do that the entire family would enjoy. Distance travel is also something that many couples do when they’re planning a honeymoon vacation or celebrating other special occasions for couples.

In many rare cases, vacationers find themselves so enamored with some places that they’ve visited while on vacation, some decide to move to that particular location and make it their home. The romantic idea of waking up every morning to enjoy the sights and sounds that they did while on vacation is definitely something to look forward to. Planning that move is even more exciting as each step of the move brings them closer to their dream. Everything from finding a doggie kennel to getting moving quotes from distance movers is done with excitement and in full anticipation of enjoying that “dream” life that they’ve only wondered about.

Moving is very detail-oriented and you should make sure that everything is completed as you begin planning. Other things to consider on a moving checklist include securing and updating passports, selling or leasing a current home, selling furniture that may be too big or bulky to take on the trip and of course, researching the area that you’re planning on moving to. All of this detail or organization will ensure that the move is not only smooth, but that everything that needs to be done gets done in a timely manner. So, when the day of the big move comes, the couple or family can leave for their new home, eager to start a new chapter in their lives, and begin that chapter in a new, exotic, rich, historical place that they will now call home.

Because no two countries in the world are the same, the cultures will vary, and this includes what is acceptable and unacceptable within those cultures. When traveling abroad, it can be difficult to distinguish between what is okay and what isn’t. The best advice is to do some research into the culture of the country you’ll be visiting. However, it should be noted that there are some things to remember that will work in almost any culture and country. Look over the list below for some tips on travel etiquette.

Remember to use your indoor voice as often as possible. Being able to speak softly in all situations will keep from drawing attention to yourself, but the habit of an indoor voice is one that everyone will appreciate.

If you’ll be traveling to a country where the language is different from your own, try to learn as much of that language as possible before going. At the very least learn some of the common phrases. Not only will they be tremendously helpful, but the people will be appreciative as well.

Find out if there is any kind of appropriate dress for the country you’ll be visiting. If there is no traditional dress, then be sure to pack appropriately for the weather.

The best advice is to learn as much about the culture of where you’ll be visiting. Purchasing and reading through a travel guide isn’t a bad idea. Certain practices, language, hand gestures or other body language may be okay in one culture, but it can mean something completely disrespectful in another. It is best to be as prepared as possible when traveling outside of your home country.

Do you know where real pearls originate? Some people think that pearls are manufactured, while others think they are formed in a clam under the sea. Japanese inventor, Kokichi Mikimoto invented the cultured pearl. He discovered the culturing pearl process, and started business crafting and selling pearls in 1893. His goal was to adorn the necks of all of the world’s women with pearls. He overcame the adversity of the Japanese fear of foreign influences, and of numerous failed experiments to produce the perfect pearl. There are no misshapen pearls from the Mikimoto brand—it is forbidden.

While Mikimoto’s trade secret is through the cultured pearl, real pearls are formed inside a clam shell. When you introduce a particle into the clam in just the right way, hundreds of thousands of layers of a substance called “nacre” form over it, which results in a lovely pearl. From the very bed the clams sit on, Mikimoto’s employees keep the entire process flowing seamlessly so the pearls that are sold are the best pearls in the world. The fact that this quest for perfection is still practiced today is why pearls are so popular. Well-crafted pearls are a very rare feat.

Pearls carry the weight of a stone, with more of a glowing, dense appearance. A properly cultured set of pearls can literally take years to fashion, weeks to harvest, days to sort into the appropriate color category, and hours to properly assemble a piece of jewelry for you or someone special. While this sort of attention to detail used to only be merited by royalty, now everyone can enjoy them.

The decision to visit Japan might be an easy one, but deciding on when to go can be a lot more difficult. Japan has a lot to offer in every season, but if you’re hoping for some great scenery, a trip in spring might be just what you’re looking for. As the winter season rolls out toward the end of March, the sakura trees wake up and bloom, bursting with hundreds or gorgeous and fragrant cherry blossoms. Full blossoming can vary, depending on where you are vacationing in japan.

The cherry blossom has become an icon of and around Japan, drawing many tourists, photographers, and Japanese residents every spring. The beautiful cherry blossoms are the first sign of spring and shortly after they begin blooming, hanami, the first celebration of spring time, is focused on. Hanami brings out Japanese natives, as well as tourists, to picnic among the sakura trees with plenty of sushi and sake.

If you’re really interested in seeing the cherry blossoms, there are some locations that prove to be better viewing spots than others. Kyoto, even though it is a fairly small city, is full of sakura trees. This is your best bet for an up close and personal view of the blossoms. In Matsuyama, you can enjoy the cherry blossoms, as well as the oshiro matsuri, a castle festival. Tokyo is another great spots for up close and personal views of the sakura trees, especially if you’re interested in taking pictures. Like Kyoto, many of the public parks are full of the trees.

While it is best avoid vacationing in Japan during Golden Week—the public vacation time—you should try to visit Japan as early in spring as possible, as this is when you will have the best weather. If you can’t make it in the spring time, think about going in the fall instead.

Traveling to Japan offers many unique activities, history lessons, new cultural experiences, and so much more among its many islands. When it comes to planning your trip, it can be difficult to settle on certain activities because there are simply just far too many to choose from. However, when making that trip to Japan, there are a few things that you should make sure you do before heading home.

Japan has many modern cities, but Tokyo, because it is the largest, can provide tourists the best modern experience that Japan has to offer. You can hunt down the latest and greatest technological gadgets in the Akihabara district, check out the newest fashion trends in Harajuku, and even head to Shinjuku for some great skyscraper scenery.

As with almost any country, Japan also has an older side steeped in tradition. The city of Kyoto is full of tradition, boasting over 1,000 Buddhist temples and over 400 Shinto shrines, earning it the name “city of a thousand temples.” Kyoto is also home to three different palaces and a museum, and in certain districts, you can see Geisha in their traditional wardrobe. If you really want to stick to tradition while visiting Japan, try staying in a ryokan, a traditional inn.

Depending on when you’ll be visiting Japan, you’ll likely be able to catch one of the many festivals that take place throughout the year. In the winter months, you can see the New Year’s fireworks or participate in Yuki Matsuri, otherwise known as the February Snow Festival. During the spring months, the more traditional festivals takes place, such as the Obon festivals, which last three days and honor the dead. There are also festivals in honor of the cherry blossom season. The more traditional festivals tend to take place in areas like Kyoto and Kamakura.

A piece of sound advice is to avoid traveling to Japan during holidays. Fares for lodging, as well as public transportation will be higher during these periods.

Located in the East of Asia, Japan is known as the land of the rising sun. It is popular place for having a very high standard of living. According to the historical records, Japan is an ancient island belonging to that period of history when only modern Homo sapiens are known to have existed.

The culture of Japan is a very distinctive culture. The sculpture of Japan is really magnificent. Various kinds of materials are used for making sculptures such as wood, stone, bronze and the likes. Buddhist statues are some of the most admired sculptures. The method of arrangement of flowers focusing on its colors, design and synchronization is an Inseparable part of its culture.

The peculiar use of music, dance, distinctive costumes, varied gestures, use of objects for symbolization makes the Performing art of Japan stand out from the rest. Due to a number of logical reasons, majorly women are not allowed to participate in its performing arts thus the role of women is also played by the men.

Distinctive traditional clothes of Japan are other popular aspects of its culture. Kimono is one of the traditional clothing of Japan is in itself encompasses a wide variety of clothes made in different patterns, colors and styles. The interesting fact behind these dresses is that there are very few sizes available in these dresses and people use various techniques to wear these clothes so that it fits them.

Men prefer wearing dark colors whereas women wear bright clothes. The design of Kimono changes with the change of season. The long garment worn by brides in their marriage ceremony is decorated with golden and silver threads and the dress looks splendid in these ceremonies.

The paintings of Japan, its language and calligraphy, pottery are some of the other aspects of the rich culture of Japan along with the other mentioned aspects. Don’t miss the chance to visit Japan, if you get it!

With the population of more than 128 million people, Japan is located in the East of Asia. It is a group of six thousand and fifty two islands in a large body of water. Some of the islands have a number of mountains and some of the islands are volcanic as well.

Japan is very popular for having one of the largest economies of the world with a number of records related to exports and imports. The state of Japan is so developed that it has a very high rate of life expectancy. The State is also proud to have a very low rate of killings of one human by another.

Japan is known as the land of the rising sun. The history of Japan is so rich that the historical vessels made of clay set an example of pottery around the globe even today. As in any country, the culture of Japan is also influenced a lot by its history. But having a liberal approach, its culture is a blend of combined influences from America, Asia and Europe.

Japanese language is known to be one of the unique languages of the world. The language has three scripts namely Kanji, Katakana and hiragana. Due to the unique language, the calligraphy of the language is also complex, thus, people who do not belong to the state find it really difficult to learn this language specifically its calligraphy. The painting of Japan is as unique as its language and its techniques of painting are used even today throughout the world.

Along with the language, the sculptures, painting, performing art and traditional clothes of Japan, the method of arrangement of flowers, are an insignificant part of its culture. If you get a chance to visit Japan, don’t miss it! It is where you’ll see the real world.

Japan is having more than 2000 islands surrounding the country that are extended till the Pacific Ocean. The islands are found in a chain like structure and are known as the “Japanese Archipelago”.

This country is widely covered with the forest and mountains than the regular lands resulting in the unfit condition for the agricultural purposes. This is because of the land conditions such as steep elevations, climatic conditions, risk of landslides, the earthquake zones and the soft grounds and heavy rains. Most of the population is concentrated on the coastline of the country.

Most of the islands of Japan are found located in the volcanic zone of the Pacific Ring of Fire. The large oceanic movements at the mid-Silurian from millions of years are the main cause for these Ring of Fire. The seduction of the surrounding plates of the water bodies has resulted in the natural calamities such as tsunamis, vigorous earthquakes and the volcanoes.

The climatic conditions vary largely in Japan. The summers will be both hot and cool, depending on the monsoon winds that blow from the sea bed and also because of the covering of the cliffs, and the winters will be cold and will also be associated with the snowfall in many of the places.

Japan is considered as one of the leaders in the development of the eco-friendly technologies due to the usage of the advanced hybrid systems, bio fuels, lighter-weight material and specialized engineering techniques.

Japan is under many of the treaties such as obligations in reducing the carbon-dioxide emissions and other conditions related in climatic changes. This country is also planning to prepare industries to cut the make cuts in greenhouse gases and is ranked to be the 20th best Environmental Performance Index.

Japan is the country which is most advanced in technology when compared with other nations in the world. Japan is famous for inventions of robots. Japan is considered to be the most advanced country in terms of technological aspects in the world.

Japan is famous for creating robots. They have invented almost all types of robots. Japan has been helping the house wives a lot by inventing robots that can do almost all house hold work. Japan has proved its excellence to the whole world in its technology. The language used to communicate in Japan is called Japanese.

People who reside in Japan are called as Japanese. The people of Japan are different in terms of looks when compared to other nations in this world. This is because of the reason that they belong to a different race of human beings. To recall the history of human beings race, there are three types of race found in human beings.

Among the three the Japanese belong to mongoloids race. The other two races of human beings are Dravidians and Aryans. The currency which is used for the transaction in Japan is call yen.

The capital of Japan is Tokyo city. The Tokyo consists of a city which is found to be one of the largest metropolitan cities in the world. The de facto is the name of the largest metropolitan city in Tokyo.

Japan is called as nation of islands. Japan is having about six thousand eight hundred and fifty two islands in it and though most of them are only mountains still Japan has quite good population in it. The de facto along with all of the prefectures surrounding it consist of one hundred and twenty seven million people.

If you visit Japan, you can find one thing in common. It is the houses. Most of the houses in Japan which are located near mountains are constructed using wood as element for construction. These houses in Japan are very unique in looks and are very much beautiful. Most of the houses do not consists of any regular items. They do not use much house hold items in their houses because of Lava Mountains.

The doors which are used in house will be found having push slide doors. A reason for using wooden house and the push slide doors is because of volcanic mountains. In Japan volcanic eruption is very common. Thus by building wooden houses, it will not make them loose much.

Whenever there is volcanic eruption, people go out of their houses taking all their belongings. Thus only wooden house gets burnt. If the same house is built using concrete as in other parts of the world, the expense will be more for them to build the houses with concrete again and again. However the houses will be destroyed by volcano.

Much of the people who stay near mountain do not use much house hold items in their house. Thus when the time of volcano they can relocate to some safe place easily.

Japan is the most advanced country in the world. They stand within first two places when it comes to technology. Japanese are the term used to call the people who belong to Japan. They have proved their capability many a times with the inventions.

The first nuclear bomb was dropped over japans’ main islands. The name of the islands was Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The suffering what they faced after the nuclear bomb tragedy cannot be forgotten by any one. Even the pilot who dropped that nuclear bomb over the two islands, regretted till he had his last breath.

It is considered to be the worst time so far in the three world wars. The nuclear bomb was dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki was because, it had the military head quarters of Japan in there. They had few airports nearby Nagasaki. Thus when the bomb explosion happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it created a history which shows the disaster that is the outcome of war.

After the nuclear bomb was dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the major islands of Japan lost lots of airplanes to fight back against U.S. they took decades to recover the suffering what they faced as consequence of war.

The two islands, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were literally erased from the map. The condition was so cruel. The land where the nuclear bomb was dropped in Japan didn’t have any cultivation value. The property of soil was so bad that even every grain of sand was burnt to the core. Thus the fertility was almost lost to the maximum extent.

There were lots of measures taken to return back the fertility of the soil of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Ninety nine percent were failure. Years after this incident, the fertility does not seem to be returning and thus all the farmers were forced to start any other work to make living in Japan.

Everyone knows about the power of nuclear weapon. It is the most powerful weapon man has ever created. The proof of that is Japan itself. We all know that the nuclear bomb was dropped during the world was between Japan and U.S, the destruction was so severe and the proof is right in front of us.

If any plants were tried to be planted in that soil condition, that plant would die in next few hours. The soil has become so poisoned for anything to be grown. There was nothing remaining after the collision happened with nuclear bomb. Even for the present situation, the land is found to be dead with no values.

Even at the present situation, if any plant is tried to grown in that soil it would die after a couple of days or weeks. It is not a Child’s play to get back the fertile values of any soil. Japan is still suffering for what happened with two of its main islands, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Still Japan took the situation as a challenge and made it happen to get their glory back.

They are now one of the most advanced counties in this whole world. The people of Japan are still trying their maximum to do what they can to get the value of Japan in the World’s view. Japan is trying to make the world easier and simpler. They are marching towards the next generation of technology.

Japan has succeeded almost, if it’s considered for economic growth. They have made their mark in economic status when considered with other country economic status. The currency which is used in Japan is signified with a different name and symbol. The main evidence for the growth of Japan in economic status is the symbol of their currency yen. The symbol of yen is Â¥.

Japan has been doing lots and lots of researches in the field of robots. They are trying their utmost to make the robots more advanced with as many features as they can. Some of the examples are already available in the market. Japanese robots are having sixth sense technology which can make them think on their own.

Some of the examples are the dish washing robots which will wash the dish and keep it on its place in kitchen. Floor cleaning robots, which can detect the corners of the house while cleaning. It can clean the places which are to be cleaned. They can detect the presence of floor mats and can clean the mats accordingly.

Japan has introduced robot drivers as well. Thinking of robot drivers a couple of decades back was an astonishing task. But it has been made and is already available in the market. This can show the capability and the technological advancement of Japan in this global presence.

One can say it is the best example for Japanese technology over robots. Making the robot drivers is not an easy task, moreover giving them the ability to decide which side to steer the vehicle and which way to go so that it can reach its passengers destination.

The sixth sense technology in robots which Japan has added as one of the most advanced features will help it to decide the direction. Not only direction it will also make the robot to follow the traffic rules, lane discipline etc. Japanese technology is not limited to robots; they are doing research in all areas. They have provided different versions of smart phones.

Japan has been providing great electronic gadgets to the world so that the work can be reduced and made easy. Japanese are making the greatest out of what they can to help the world in technological aspect.

According to the research made by some of the great archeologists, the research specifies that the existence of Japan is found from upper Paleolithic period. The people who were residing on the islands of Japan were found to be there from the upper Paleolithic period as well.

According the information gathered from the first written source which is in the text from Chinese history, there is brief information about their appearances. The first written source belongs to first century AD. Japan has adopted the constitution that it follows in year 1947.

Japan follows the system of unitary constitutional monarchy. Which means the rule will be with one emperor and the diet. The parliament with handful of elected members in Japan is called Diet. Japan has the major economy power. It is found that Japan has the second largest economy in the world. The symbol for their currency is the best example.

Japan is also in purchasing power parity as the third largest in the world. They are in exporting as the fourth largest in the world and also the fifth largest importer of goods in the world.

Japan is currently serving for United Nations Security Council as a non permanent member. Once in history, Japan was in war and was targeted with most powerful weapon that is nuclear bomb. After the nuclear blast Japan had lost almost everything. But now if one can see, they are standing in a position where many other countries are dreaming to be.

The dedication of the people in Japan and their true hard work for their country had made the country stand in such a position. They have officially claimed the right to declare war when there is any need. This authority cannot be given to any country unless it is capable and has power.

The climate of Japan will be moderate most of the times. The temperature varies a lot from north to south. The geographical feature of Japan has been divided into six zones depending upon their principal climate. The six zones are Sea of Japan, Seto inland, Hokkaido, central highland, Ryukyu Islands and Pacific Ocean.

Hokkaido is the northernmost zone among all the six zones of Japan. The temperature of Hokkaido will be of long and cold winters also with cool summers. Rainfall will not be heavy, but there will be deep snow bank found in winter season over the islands.
Sea of Japan zone is located at the west coast on Honshu. There will be heavy snow fall due to the wind blowing from northwest during summer season. This region gets a lot cooler than compared to pacific area of the country. There can be occurrence of very hot temperature sometimes; this is due to the phenomenon of the Foehn wind which blows through the zone.

The central highland will always have a typical inland climate; there will be huge difference with temperature during summer and winter season. There will be huge temperature change also during day and night times. Rainfall will not be heavy. The Seto inland sea will be protected from the seasonal winds by Chugoku and Shikoku, the two mountains present in the inland.

The Ryukyu always carry on a subtropical climate. The country is blessed with hot summers and cool winters. The rainfall in this area is very heavy. Heavy rainfall is recorded in the rainy seasons. Typhoons occur very often and hence it’s very common in this inland.
40.9 degree Celsius is found to be the highest temperature measured so far. This highest temperature was recorded in 2007 during the month of august.

The people who survived that blast in Japan can be considered as living dead. They were not able to work the normal way they used to before the explosion. There are lots of examples for the suffering caused by Japan after the nuclear bomb. Some of those sufferings are carried through even for the present situation. There have also been lots of researches conducted in attempting to restore the original glory of Japan.
The kids born in that particular place of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were born with lots of defects. Most of them didn’t have proper organs functionality. Some were born handicapped. Some were born with mental illness. There were lots of damages happening with the human process. The air was so much poisoned that inhaling that it for several days would cause death to the people survived.

After lots of research the scientists were able to get back the normal behavior with the birth of child in Japan, now a day the children born in those particular islands are getting back into their normal life style except their cultivation.

Almost ninety nine percent of population was erased in an instance when the blast occurred from the nuclear bomb over japans two major military base and shipping center. There was nothing left after the explosion of nuclear bomb happened. The poison was also present in soils leaving nothing to grow over there for decades.
The population of Japan got reduced into one fourth of total population as soon the nuclear bomb got exploded. The remaining were either contagious with the poison of the explosion or they were in the verge of death. The people who survived the blast were forced to relocate the city as the soil was not at all getting any good for their cultivation.

Japan is having maximum number of mountains in it. This is because Japan consists of about six thousand eight hundred and fifty two islands in it. Among which ninety percent of them are having mountains. A few of the islands of Japan are consisting of just mountains. Most of these mountains are volcanic in nature.

The highest mountain of all in Japan is Mount Fuji. The volcanic eruption is also found in this mountain some times. This mountain is covered with snow most of the times except when there is volcanic eruption.

The capital city of Japan is Tokyo. Though Japan has only islands in it still it has got some good population. Japan is found to be having about tenth largest population in it. Japan has over one hundred and twenty seven million people in it. Japan is having one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world.

This Tokyo area is found to be the greatest place in Japan. It also includes the de facto city which is one of the finest cities in Japan. The de facto city is the capital of Tokyo. The facto city along with all the prefectures which are surrounding it is considered as the largest metropolitan area in the world. This largest metropolitan area consists of about 30 million residents.

The houses which are built in Japan are very unique. The house is made from wood which is the specialty of Japan houses. The doors of these houses are all common in Japan which is unique from other countries in the world. They build the sliding doors everywhere they come in need of doors for their houses.

There is a reason for building the sliding doors as well. Due to the presence of volcanic mountains every where and repeated volcanic eruption they build wooden houses.
